					<description>Maybe the 304's are because of that one WordPress version that had trouble with the feeds being returned 304?

That'd be my guess, as not everyone upgrades immediately.</description>

					<description>Sorry, I was not being clear enough.  I was recieving a 304 empty response on my first attempt to download and parse the feed.  Since I was not sending an If-Modified-Since header, surely I should receive the content.</description>
