Opinions on FeedLounge
Whitney McNamara is asking for opinions on FeedLounge over at seamonkeyrodeo.
Why don’t a few of you alpha testers out there head over and give him an opinion?

I’ve written a review regarding Feedlounge over here:

Hey, Scott -
Many thanks for the pointer — I’ve gotten a number of notes and comments. First off: congratulations, you guys have put something together that people are really enthusiastic about — nice! Based on that enthusiasm I’ll definitely be giving feedlounge a try over the next couple of weeks.
Second thing, a question that I didn’t see addressed in the forums (but I’ll certainly add once I’ve gotten up and running).
Have you guys been giving any thought to (or do you already have) a view that faciliatates easy scanning of a large number of feeds? SearchFox did this via their ranking mechanism, but there are a bunch of other ways one could approach it.
Basically, I expect to be going through some pretty serious SearchFox withdrawl in losing the “items within a folder scored and sorted based on attention data” thing; this has allowed me to dump 200-300 feeds into a folder and just roll through whatever items bubble up to the top, rather than having to scan each feed individually.
Even something like a view that treats all of the feeds contained in a folder as a single input source — the most recent items from any contained feed appear at the top of the view — would make it a lot easier for packrats like me to scan the bulk input.
Looking forward to playing around with Feedlounge!
Thanks,
Whit
FeedLounge doesn’t have an item ranking system in place right now, but we give you the ability to tag feeds and then to select the tag as a source (showing items from feeds with that tag). I think that will be a step towards what you’re looking for.
