Browser Requirements

FeedLounge uses modern web techniques to deliver the best possible feed reading experience. In order to take advantage of these capabilities, you need to be using a modern web browser.

FeedLounge is tested with the following browsers:

Windows

Mac OS X

Linux

Note: Opera is not officially supported yet because we have not extensively tested with it yet. However, our users tell us (in the forums) that Opera 9 works quite well.

How do you feel about Omnigroup’s Omniweb 5.1? It uses a variant of the KHTML rendering model that Safari uses.

  2. Hopefully, Safari compatibility will do the trick for Omniweb as well.

  3. Is support for Opera expected (or does it work as of now?) beacuse a few AJAX applications that I’ve tried didn’t work so hot in Opera.

  4. We will take a look at Opera support after we get everything working on the browsers listed above.

Any updates about the Opera support? All seems to run without any problem on my Opera 9 Beta, at least on the tour …

  6. We don’t have it listed because we haven’t tested in it. According to our users in the forums, FeedLounge works just fine in the latest Opera 9.

    I added a note above.

  7. Opera 9 on the Mac has at least one problem for me, which is that using the space button to move between items doesn’t seem to work at all, and in the lower left corner of the screen I get a notice of an exception being thrown. It seems to work fine, otherwise, but as I got used to the space button as my way through my feeds, I use feedlounge in Firefox.
